VARstop – Power Factor Regulation System
20% Power Reduction
(High Cost Medium Return)
Power Factor refers to the ‘phase-displacement between current and voltage’. The more current and voltage are ‘out of phase’ the less efficient will be the transfer of power from the point of supply to the point of load. This lack of efficiency is a problem for power utilities and also the industrial and commercial consumer of electricity. Power utilities are increasingly surcharging customers with poor power factor.
