Changing over the light fitting to Induction Lamp technology is only viable if the fitting is close to the end of its economic life. One 40W induction Lamp replaces two x 36W fluorescent lamps for almost 50% energy saving. The fitting also assists this with a high output mirrored reflector. Lamp life is a staggering 100,000 hours (5 times standard fluorescent lamp life) and this significantly reduces maintenance costs. Impact on the workplace is high for this type of refit works.
